Darth Vader\Yoda, Superman (and pals) and now Freddy.

I dont mind if its DLC and an option. It all depends on how its done I suppose. I totally thought the DC\MK thing was stupid and I refuse to buy that game but Darth Vader and Yoda in Soul Calibur was really well done when at first I loathed the thought of it. It looks like Freddy is pretty cool too even though at first it sounds completely ridiculous. I dont know. Why not I say? Its fun to screw around like that sometimes if its done well.

Jason would kick all their asses. :P

I'd love to see a Predator in there too.

Sounds like someone in the gaming world needs to take MUGEN, balance it, and make it work on my 360. I like the MUGEN idea, I hated trying to find characters that were well done and well balanced to fill that game up.

If this game was called MUGEN the DLC would fit perfect and I could understand Barney Vs. Leather Face. Its Mortal Kombat.

Mortal Kombat Vs. DC didn't fit for me because DC isn't near as dark of MK is. Atleast Freddy is dark, and dark on the level that MK is so that works a bit. If we are going to have Freddy I want Jason too. The same company owns them both, get the rights set up to make it happen and please another group of fan boys from the horror world.

So long as these non-MK characters stay out of the single player stuff I guess it isn't as big of a deal as I thought at first. In multiplayer it doesn't matter what character is beating the mortal hell out of me.

I hope they release a disc version with all the added stuff. I would like to have it, but don't want to download anything from PSN ever again.

Heh, I can't think of more than three MK characters that couldn't murder Jason handily. Kano, Sonya, and Stryker are all wusses!

LOL.

My least favorites of all time:

Kano
Sonya
Nightwolf
Stryker
Rain
Kobra

I may have missed some more. There were some retarded characters out there over the years.

Some new stages would be nice too. Elm Street since Freddy is coming out would be nice, but WOULD be cool is to bundle the stage with the fighter. Like the cabin area for Ash and Crystal Lake for Jason if they ever did decided to do such a thing. It may not make sense story wise, but with me it doesn't have to. It just has to be fun.

I've always had a good bit of hate for Stryker, but have to admit his X-ray in MK9 is pretty damned sweet, particularly the sound effect of the baton-on-skull whack. But I still try my damnedest to Fatality his butt when I put him down, simply out of spite for the character. :)

What are the reviews of the Arcade Stick so far? Not that I can still get one, but you never know. I didn't bite early on, wasn't sure the game would be any good. Now I'm completely hooked and wished I would've dropped the $ on the model with the stick...unless it isn't good.

I remember first seeing Stryker in MK3, I was like....What the hell is Woody Harrelson doing in a MK game!

And also, who's got Freddy? How is he to play with? Watching those videos, I'm impressed with the level of detail; love the fatality with the furnace, straight from the movies. I guess this is a big plus for Midway being absorbed by WB? So far I'm pretty darn happy with the WB games that have come out that I've tried.

I can't remember the exact challenge tower #, but can anyone advise on the "New Jax City" challenge? You've got to execute four of Jax's throws on Kabal to complete it, but two require that Kabal be in the air. I can't seem to draw him to jump, and I can't seem to catch him if I pop him up with an uppercut. Might have to pay to skip this one, which would suck. I can footsweep him dozens of times, I can duck to bait him into jumping, I can use projectiles, but he doesn't bite and stays on the ground. Grr.

I had that fight stick, and I sold that thing pretty fast. Because they changed the button layout for the game the arcade stick with the original layout just didn't work right. To pull off certain moves you had to use buttons that were off what I would think is the main play area. There were 2 buttons up at the top of the arcade stick that were much smaller then play buttons, and to pull off certain moves you would have to use them, so you would have to move your right hand from the 6 buttons in the play area and hit one of those smaller buttons and then get back to the play area quickly to pull off the next move you wanted.

Over all, just pass on it. You can use the Street Fighter stick better IMO and the game was really made with a normal controller in mind anyway.

Hm, that's a shame. Looked like a great stick, but what you say makes sense. Not very good for other arcade games either, I suppose?

Only games that use the four face buttons, really. Better off getting a stick that's actually useful & not just for show.

Now I'm glad I got the Kollectors Edition instead of the Tournament Edition.
Although the fact they are selling the Kollectors edition for $59.99 now reminds me to just wait on these things.

Which reminds me. Duke Nuke Em Ball of Steel edition is now selling for $49.99!

I downloaded and played through a ladder with Freddy. I guess it was kind of underwhelming what with all the pre released video circulating. This is one case where the element of surprise might have been a funner alternative.

What moves required the upper buttons? I don't think I've run across anything I can't do on the stick, but maybe I'm missing something.
