I couldn't find much on the Boulderdash Construction Kit when searching the forums. From what I have seen, it seems to be a very capable editor. How are the sample levels with it? Is this recommended? I have other versions of BD 1 and was thinking of going for this instead (and it seems to be easier to find). I should pick up some blank disks soon for stuff like this since I have Lode Runner and Racing Destruction Set (not sure if I'll be using a disk for the latter since the C64 one looks much better, though) and all my disks seem to be used (still need to check a couple unlabeled ones).

I really like Boulder Dash Construction Kit (and "construction set" games in general). You'll want to keep the command reference handy, but the editor works very well and offers lots of features. The game plays exactly like the earlier versions of Boulder Dash, so I'm sure it's possible to use Boulder Dash Construction Kit to replicate the caves from these versions if you wanted to. The sample caves are very good, but I found them to be somewhat more difficult than the ones in Boulder Dash or Boulder Dash II.

sounds cool. I think I'll pick it up, though probably not in April since I just ordered Jr. Pac-Man and Moon Patrol and I'm getting Spy vs. Spy I & II, Juno First, and Galahad and the Holy Grail very soon (already at the house, but they are for Easter). I also plan to get Pinball Construction Set. I still need to get Archon, Dig Dug, Necromancer, David's Midnight Magic, Blue Max, Joust, Miner 2049er, Wizard of Wor, River Raid, Q-Bert and some others too.

The construction set is great fun, it includes the 'slime' from Boulderdash II; reminds me must post my screens here sometime... :)
