From the video it looks like espire8's Knight for Medieval Mayhem is now an integral part of the game play :ponder:

.... so they're batting a knight around now instead of a ball?

No, there's fireballs flying around like in the original, but there's also knights and other creatures with the player's banner running around the field of war. Looks like a 3D world with the knights running around at ground level and the fireballs flying around overhead.

Here's the trailer at 720p

Ehhhhhh..........
Cartoony henchmen running around and fireballs. Looks messy.
Ugh..I dont know about this. I'll try it out definitely but I don't think I'll like it. I don't know.

  • I'm a guy... I just happen to like Sailor Moon.

I do like the new Atari logo, and that dragon flying by like it does in the original was pretty neat.

The game itself look... um... crowded. This could either be a hit or a miss (no pun intended).

Sometimes simple can't be improved upon. But, I'll try it. Oh wait, XBL and PSN? I guess I won't.

That was my first thought. I agree.

That's what I was thinking when I saw the thread title. I guess this is a re-remake. The first remake wasn't very good, probably because it stuck too closely to the original game and there wasn't enough to do to keep it interesting.

No, it's because it must have paddles for proper control.

Probably a little of both. It's especially hard to sell a "bounce the ball" game for a modern system when the control is sub-standard.

Is it just me, or have there been a shit-ton of classic game remakes announced and released in the last six months? I'd rather get the original Contra: Hard Corps, and I've already got Haunted House, Yars Revenge, Warlords, and all that crap on Atari already. Maybe if all of these games were bundled together on a disc compilation, I might be enticed. But as it stands, I bought an Atari to play it, not revel in its obsolescence.
