If your a hockey fan, NHL Hitz 2002 is a fun arcade style game, and can be had for dirt cheap.

I really don't know if they are cheap or not as I haven't followed GC game prices but a couple more suggestions:

I'm not much into driving games but I had a blast with Crazy Taxi and Simpson's Road Rage on the GC.

I also had fun with Pokemon: Gale of Darkness as its the closest to a standard GameBoy Pokemon game that has ever been released on a home console.

With two players this is one hella fun game. We used to play this for hours at gaming parties we would throw years ago when the GC\PS2\Xbox were the main consoles.

robotech battlecry, has some quirks about it but is a cheap and fun game to play, also a few missions are hard to pass.

extreme-g III should be cheap, fun game.

Vexx was a largely overlooked game. Played like Mario 64 with more abilities & better combat, and looked far better (of course).
