Does anyone know where to get a Vectrex controller these days or even a homemade substitute? I see some on Ebay, but they cost an arm and a leg. I just really want to play my system, and let my little nephew play with it as well. If anyone has any thoughts about this, please let me know.

Posted this in the wrong forum. Sorry.

You can mod a Sega Genesis controller, which should be plentiful and cheap:

I have been looking for a Vectrex controller for what seems like forever.
If someone knows of a great replacement other than forking out a fortune on fleaBay I'm all ears!

I have an xbox arcade stick in wood case that i modded to work on vectrex. I also added a potentiometer for driving for the one and only game that uses the analog (its late and i cant remember its name right now) for 40 dollars. If anyone is interested i can post pics.

Guess I had luck with mine. I found mine at a thrift for $10, now I just have to get the console to play it on!

Double your investment... I'll give you $20 for it. :)

I've been wanting to do that for a while, but never got around to it. I have had my Vectrex for a few years now... and no way to play it. My car just got put back into the garage... and I will be bored this weekend. This may be a project to do :)
