Special note - keeping moving forward, don't just sit around and kill the bad guys.

Any control setup is fine.
Emulation is ok.
Screenshots are great but not mandatory.

I started this HSC Contest with a score of 76,780!!(NEW ATARIAGE 7800 HSC RECORD!!)

SOME TIPS:

* If you have special weapons collected (1 gun, 1 dagger, and 1 shield) and you encounter in the maze another gun, dagger or shield, shoot them to get 1000 points.

* BE CAREFUL - DON'T SHOOT the food. Eating the food increases your energy. Also, BE CAREFUL with the traps and poisons.

Haven't played this game before, so the advanced level is a tad overwhelming. My best so far: 17,100

I can't seem to set the ****ing bomb I press the fire button, or at least the button I have it as on my emulator, but nothing

I haven't used the bomb yet. Do you have to pick something up before you can use it or is it always available? I guess I'll have to take a closer look at the manual........

Good thing I mapped the game out a year or so back.

Tips:
1. Try to keep at least one bomb in reserve at all times for Emergencies.
2. Shooting a bomb is the same as using it.
3. You can shoot through corners in the upper directionals, or hit things in the immediate square in lower directionals.


The maps for the game are on the main 7800 forum somewhere (a search for Dark Chambers Maps should get it) as well as on Mitch's website for easier access/reference.

I know on MESS the bomb button doesn't work.
But you can shoot the bomb, just make sure there's a bunch of bad guys on the screen for best use.

After the 7800 I think I would find the 2600 very disappointing.

My score so far is 31,790. Advanced eh? Must have done a regular round recently.

I like it, just a bit tight for a first timer.

(You get 5000 for going down the ladder, so consider it rolled. I've been playing it for an hour to an hour and a half so just turned it off after this. (Went from A to Z twice, and was on the third run through the mazes at this point.)



And yes, it was definitely on Advanced.
