The game was made by Gremlin software UK (as far as I know). Near the end of the game, when you purchase a hint at the shop one of the messages is "Lynx version by optimus." What does this mean? Was optimus a subdivision of Gremlin? This is a subtle and specific question, but perhaps some of you may know.

Thanks!

If I remember right, the hidden message is found in the shop on one of the sub-stages on level 6.

A shame Megatron never programmed for the Lynx!

Thanks for the info. It was helpful. It is odd that "optimus" wasn't listed anywhere on the packaging for Switchblade II. It just mentioned "Gremlin" UK. I wonder if at the time perhaps Optimus was a part of Gremlin that broke away or something.

I don't think so. This is just a port of a Gremlin game. Optimus did do a game called Pegasus for Gremlin, though.
