Important Note: This weeks competition is over and no further scores will be accepted.

Welcome to the fourth High Score Club Variety Pack! Rules for this competition are a little different, so please read:

• This competition combines four games over a two week period. The deadline for posting scores is Wednesday May 4th at 1:00 AM (Central Time, UTC-6).
  
• Scores for each game will be listed separately, with reduced scoring awarded for each game (5 points for first place, 4 for 2nd, 3 for 3rd, 2 for 4th, and 1 for all other scores).
  
• Scores are also combined for a final ranking, with Combined Score = (Megamania) + (Jungle Hunt x 10) + (Joust x 3) + (Stampede x 60). These scores will then be ranked and scored as per normal High Score Club rules (11 points for 1st place, etc).
  
• This means you could score up to 31 points if you post the #1 score for all four games. Alternatively, even if your scores are low, you can get 5 points just for participating.
  
• You do not have to play the games in any specific order, and you can submit updated scores for each game separately.
  
• You do not have to play all four games. If you leave out one game, you will still be counted in the final ranking as if you had scored 0 for that game.
  
• Scores for individual games will still be capped at the point where the score rolls over. No additional capping will occur for combined scores though.
  
• For this competition, there will be no bonus challenges, and no points awarded for best tips (don't worry, they'll come back next time!)

Zero, can you clarify the difficulty level for Stampede? It's marked "N/A", but the last time it was played in the HSC difficulty "a" was used.

Ah. Another variety pack, nice.
This time i own three of the games: jungle hunt, stampede and joust.

I tryed playing megamania in stella, but i didn´t get eny of the roms i found to work properly. The movent of the sprites arent as smooth as it should be, so im gona focus on the three games i got.
Maybe it´s my computer that doesen´t work properly?

Sweet! I have all 4 of these games..... I really like Megamania (It definately is a "Space Nightmare!!" and Joust. I like playing Stampede but it gets so bloody hard fast! Oh well practice, practice practice! Like I was saying to my brother.... I like Jungle hunt but I find the game play to be slow and kinda boring. Plus I really hate the boulders and that stupid dude on a pogo stick! Any who, GOOD LUCK to all and happy gaming! HERE GOES NUTHIN'...... OH yeah, plus it's great that we have 2 weeks! I was a lil' late with Frostbite, I only had one full day to achieve my h.s. Boo Hoo

I guess we should make a rule that you can only play the one player game in Joust. You could set it up for 2, then kill off player 2 and get loads of points

Same thing happens in Stella for me too. Frustrating.

It's only one out of the four that I don't own. Darn.

Is Stampede not the most frustrating game of all time or what? I used to be able to get over 3,000. Not so much anymore. They should start you off with more than 3 horses and make your horse move alot faster up and down.

I don't think I've ever broken 1K on Stampede. Are people using difficulty "b" for this game?
