ROUND OVER!

RULES AND DIRECTIONS:

A month-long special round, here we have a set of THREE Reboot titles. First, Beebris. Next, SuperflyDX. Lastly, the new DOWNFALL. Players will receive 25 participation points for EACH of these three games played. The #1 scoring player in each game will receive an extra 15 points on top of the base score. With that, each player can potentially earn between 75 and 120 points if all three games are played!

..Here are the rules of play:

downfall title.jpg

Start a basic game and go until you game over. Submit your score when complete. Download link: http://dbug.kicks-as...l/download.html

beebris title.jpg

Start a standard BEEBRIS game (not Beebris+, Arcade, or Arcade+). Play until you game over and submit your score when complete. For those that don't have the physical game, download it here: http://dbug.kicks-as...e/download.html

superflyDX title.jpg

If you have never played this before, you will need to enter the following code: MBEITDHBI331Y. After doing so, it will say "Game Loaded". Go to the Options screen select the HUNTER mode under "Game Style". Pick World 2, "UP THROUGH THE MAGMA", and choose to play on Stage 1. Exit back out and hit "PLAY GAME" and submit your distance after you die (not the "total", that adds up multiple runs). For those that don't have the physical game, download it here: http://dbug.kicks-as...x/download.html

[ Keep in mind that Beebris and SuperflyDX have web codes after you die. Feel free to write these down and submit them to Reboot's website after posting your score here ]

FOR THOSE THAT DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THESE TITLES:

No skunk? No BJL? Emulators getting you down? Is your name Kgenthe and you use a Mac? Don't fear! You have not been forgotten!! (ok.. maybe you were.. but not now!). Play Tempest 2000 on Classic mode starting from the very first web. Submit your score after you game-over! You will receive a flat 75 points, the same amount the others will get for participating in the three Reboot titles combined. :D

And for those that have no access to a BJL/Skunk/Flash/CD option?

What sh3 said.. Basically, emulation. That's how I'm doing it (and how I got the screenshots, haha).

Out of all the machines I've emulated the Jaguar is not one of them... Just read so many horor stories of how bad they were (but then again I have a skunkboard so I don't need it anyway lol)

You are right, the emulation isn't very good for the most part. They emulate these games perfectly though, so give it a shot.

Not quite "perfectly" but close enough to still have fun, with no glaring problems that spoil the games :)

However, I would consider using an emulator's PAUSE mode cheating :)

Also, I've generated an unlock code that will allow access to World 2 in Superfly DX. I've passed this on to Austin, so hopefully we won't have to play W1S1 until we die of old age (Atardi, I'm looking at YOU!)

All right, slight rule change for Superfly DX. We will now be playing on World 2, Stage 1, in Hunter mode. If you don't have access to this, type in the code provided in the rules/directions section for this game.

Thought I'd kick things off since I had some free time, so I gave each game a single play:

Beebris: 8781 (level 9)
SuperFly DX: 4727
Downfall: 10430

All those are beatable (esp. SF) so I'll give them all a proper go later on! I won't be using my old high scores either, that'd be cheating :P

Good call on wiping out your web code. I'll be doing the same for mine, and it's recommended everyone else does, too! Scores updated. :thumbsups:

Superfly - 6,291
Beebris - 3,450
Downfall - 7,675

Modified the rules by adding a standard Jag title for those that do not have access to these (I know we have at least one person that doesn't have a way to play them on his Jag, and also uses a Mac, so emulation is a no-go as well).

Playing Downfall is one of those games that reminds me how sharp an image the Jaguar produces. The graphics are real clean.
