Well I played one years ago when I was on vacation in Gatlinburg, TN once, and I couldn't get the thing to do anything but eat quarters. Seemed like it drained quite a bit on the outlanes (especially the right side). A properly tuned table probably doesn't do this, however, since the table I played on had quite a bit of wear and tear on it. They were keeping it in a sort of alcove type arcade between some gift shops, so it was exposed pretty much to all the outdoor elements except direct rain.

Bride of Pinbot is even less forgiving. There's a lane in the center with heart pictures leading towards it. If you don't make it all the way through, you are guaranteed to center gutter out. The one I was playing at Blainbrook might have weak flippers, since I could barely get anything through a lane. Same place had a Star Trek: TNG where the auto-plunger couldn't get the ball through, and I couldn't make a single shot. The flippers were QUITE weak, which makes the best players fail.

I busted this out earlier today before heading to work and got hooked on the Sorcerer table. I don't think I gave it much time, but I throughly enjoyed it. Looking forward to playing some more when I get off of work..

I should be receiving the 360 version in the next day or two. It will be great to check out the other tables added to it as well as upload my scores!

I got the Wii version (no box, sadly) and it was the most fun I've ever had playing pinball since Dragon's Fury on the Genesis. Well okay, so I've hardly ever gotten to play real pinball...I actually haven't played a real pin in over ten years. I've never understood the appeal to nudging the table prior to this collection, but now I'm trying to get the hang of it.

I brought it upon myself to unlock all the tables without spending a credit, and thanks to that I am at 779...too bad I can't put them toward some big-ticket item like an easy-bake oven or something. Anyway, here's some long-winded impressions from a pinball somewhat-newb!

Taxi - High Score: 9,797,600
This is such a fun table, one of my favorites. Where else could I put Dracula, Santa Claus and a robot into the same car? Wait, why is Santa not using his sleigh and Drac not sucking any blood? Whatever. There's so much cool stuff and the sounds are so inviting.

Gorgar - High Score: 861,320
I took to this table quite quickly, probably because of how you guys and Helloween treated it. It felt pretty odd though, that I would complete all the wizard goals for this one before even getting the basic ones for any of the others. It wasn't until after getting the goals that I understood what yall were talking about---I can hardly break 200k now! Guess my high score was like beginner's luck. Desite being a really simplistic table, it's very cool and fun to play. Me beat Gorgar!

Space Shuttle - High Score: beneath default highscores
There's something really enchanting about the "music" that goes on throughout play...somehow it feels like I'm on board a spaceship some forty-fifty years ago, or however long ago this is supposed to be, long before space needed to always be filled with asteroids, aliens and battleships...just exploring a vast emptiness and enjoying it despite nothing happening...
FUCK! Another ball just drained and my score still aint on the list.

Sorceror - High Score: 4,871,260
This table's brutal. I have to be a sorceror just to understand how I can survive here. I spend the most time on this one just because all my efforts to get that one basic goal are thwarted by the sorceror's magic. I'll get you yet, you strawberry-wearing bastard!

Black Knight - High Score: 5,333,590
This is definitely one of my favorites, yet for some reason I don't play it that much. I love the dual playfields and the magna-save. Feels like an easy table overall but lots of fun to play and not be slain. Who's talking to me, the Wizard of Wor's more sinister-sounding, yet non-magical half brother? I could have sworn I once heard him laugh...

Funhouse - High Score: 7,009,520
Another one of my favorites, but I actually play this one often because I'm still trying to get a basic goal. Rudy is awesome; it's so much fun to hit him in the face and hear him scream.

Whirlwind - High Score: 28,749,260
Probably my favorite of them all, thanks to the awesome music and the sounds, and of course the STORM! The spinners are absolute genius, the multiball on this table in particular is spectacular, and that redneck-inhabited cellar is a really nice touch.

PinBot - High Score: 3,518,720
It took some time for this one to grow on me, and it's still growing. It's definitely challenging, and while I like this table I can't quite figure out why I like it.

Firepower - High Score: 2,174,200 (that's 2 rolls!)
This one kinda bores me. I guess there's nothing particularly wrong about this table, but it just doesn't grab me or stand out like the rest of the tables. It feels like they just took two random words and threw them together, and even the artwork feels random and uninspired. I've spent the least amound of time with this one, and I even hesitate to pursue the wizard goals.

Jive Time - High Score: 115,560
I made sure to unlock this one last, and I'm glad I did. This table seems to have been designed to make people want to beat hippies! The luck-based bonus spinner makes for a really lousy basic goal that was a pain in the ass to achieve, and now the wizard goals multiply that horribleness! This table feels like it's probably the oldest on here, and that old-school charm (mainly the sounds) is the only thing this table has going for it. I'm not even gonna bother with this one anymore.

And before anyone asks, I haven't tried the Williams Challenge yet. I've been mostly focusing on achieving the goals so those Goal Achieved messages can stop showing up.

So, I have to say that Fun House is easily my most-enjoyed table right now. I really have confident control over what's going on in this table.. it's awesome! :)

I'm getting better at Pin-Bot too, but I can't hit the far right target to advance the planets.. Anyone else have any luck with that, or have some tips?

Only time I was able to hit it is if you flip the flipper, when the ball reaches the very end tip, when the ball is going down the inlane. From a trapped point, to end flipper, it doesn't make it.

Ah, I see.. I will give that a shot later. :)

I generally used the other method for advancing the planets, as it was much easier and safer (sometimes, the ball will head for the outlane after hitting that target, as I recall). When I had to hit that target, though, I think what I did was wait for a good upward bounce off the right flipper (when it's up, with the ball coming into it from the right lane) and then smack the ball with that flipper.

It's been a while, though, so maybe what I'm describing is just my imagination.

It seems like you basically have to rely on extra balls on Pin-Bot.. Whereas on Funhouse I can go a long time without draining and generally save most drains with a good nudge, it's very hit or miss (mostly miss) with Pin-Bot. Fortunately, extra balls are really easy to get on Pin-Bot..

What is the other method? I thought the only way to advance the planets was by hitting the target? I think I will need to take a look at the instructions again tonight.

Anyone interested in having a high score thread for this game? I'm finding the online leaderboards relatively useless other than to compare where I stand in terms of all the players combined.
