I know it's a bit lame to putch game ideas but still.. it would be so cool if someone could program a PapiJump type game for the Atari 2600. This is what I mean -> PapiJump

It's got vertical scrolling and only requires one sprite and some horizontal bars (or 3 sprites if you look at the PapiJump enemy level), so I think this game is a perfect match for the 2600 hardware. Although I must say that I don't have any technical knowledge of the 2600, but looking at the "Man Goes Down" homebrew 2600 game I'm guessing it would certainly be possible.. There's even an TI-83 version out already.

Seeing as "Doodle Jump" was such a hit on iphone, maybe there's someone already working on it for the 2600?

ah yes I see, you mean the "Splatform" levels of Swoops. Btw the Cave 1k part of Swoops is based on SFCave which was also created by the same guy as PapiJump. :)

Yeah okay, but the gameplay idea for the helicopter game originally comes from SFCave by SunFlat, which was first released for Windows 3.1 back in 1995 and later for the PalmPilot in 1998 (source).
