I have playstation adapters - can I adapt this:

I have this trackball and tried to use it with Centipede on MAME. I don't really know how to configure MAME, but I tried lots of combos and couldn't get it to work.

It might not be possible to do cleanly, with your adapters, but surely you could put computer mouse guts (not the goopy red kind) inside & it'd work.

You might want to get it for the PS1 console. There are quite a few games that support the PS1 Mouse/Nyco Trakball. I love playing Tempest X with the trakball.

Why not get a USB trakball? There is Logitec and Macally makes a good one.

I know this thread is old but i think the video game store near me still has a stock of these. I will have to stop by and check it out.

there are lots of good PC trackballs for cheap that have full PC support and thus full support in MAME and everything else. is it for nostalgia to use this playstation trackball?

I can't find PC trackballs for 'cheap' at all. I can't even find the one in the picture above for sale. If someone can Hansel and Gretel me to something they think is awesome, please do so.
