My 20" standard definition CRT from 2005 or so has developed a problem. The set will occasionally flicker for a split second. And sometimes, I'll get green colored lines for a moment before the picture reappears with no audio (And a few times, no picture ever returned). Cycling the power fixes it (Although it's taken 2-3 cycles occasionally).

The problem was so rare that it wasn't much of a problem for quite a while, but the frequency of it has increased lately and it's quickly starting to get annoying. Clearly she's on the way out unless it's fixable.

Any ideas what it could be? Is it something easily fixed or a critical component that will write the set off? It's happening with both composite inputs, s-video, and component (I don't use the coaxial jack and I'm not sure if I ever have).

Had a nice 32" Trinitron all lined up in barely used condition for $40 off Craigslist yesterday, but decided to take measurements before driving to buy and pick it up this morning. Just was a bit too big to fit in my vehicle and easily take it through the door frames in the house so I had to pass. So my heart is set on getting a nice, slightly smaller used Trinitron, but I still wonder if this problem is easily repairable.

If it's something I could do or could get done cheaply (If there are even still any shops around here that do television repair in today's disposable age), I'd like to hang on to it and get it repaired even after replacing it.
