I'm a noob at identifying electronic components so I'll try to explain what I really need:

The power component socket on a Telegames Personal Arcade broke off one time so I tried soldering it back on.

But after so much heat, it melted and a tiny piece of metal fell out of the socket so it's no good anymore.

The second pic is the broken component -sorry about the quality.

Is there an online electronics store that have replacement parts? I don't want to pay another $95 for a new one.

I'm pretty sure it is called a "power jack".

I've got one of those barrel connector sockets. Not sure of the size yet, but it does match you board pattern.

I don't know if that's possible. The PC board has 3 solder pads, which the jack was soldered to, the AC adapter-only 2 wires. I can't remember if the power supply was 9 or 12V.

A power brick dangling from a light cheaply-made console isn't really a good idea.
