I don't know how to play this. The manual doesn't really help at all in understanding the game. What do I do? How do the tiles react to anything? I am just not getting it at all. Help!

Starting off, there are colored tiles you flip, and there are colored floor pieces. The goal is to match the colored tiles with the same colored floor piece. When you drop a piece into the right spot, it will begin to flash, letting you know it's in the correct spot. This is the premise for most of the rest of the game, with some mix-ups here and there (for instance, the stage where you have to match up the portraits).

Always felt this was (is) definitely one of the cooler, underrated Jag games. 1up for system unique game! Beat it after a few days of play though and never looked back :)

Flip Out is a great game. Once you get the hang of it I think you'll love it.

I think the manual is fairly easy to understand... but the easiest way to figure it out is to play a few rounds on easy... I've actually completed every level and I love the game.

The "puzzle game" genre is one of my least favorites, but I must say the Flip-Out is one of the better puzzle games that I've played.

I've always liked the graphics on this one. They remind me of Trog. Is this a Jaguar original, or was it ported from Amiga or some other platform?

Yea but only because Atari was trying to push Atari Interactive right or was that something completely outside of Atari?

I had a alot of fun with Flip-Out! back in the day, but found it kinda frustrating. The tiles can be pretty damn difficult to track on later levels. Haven't played it in forever, though. I should give it a spin again. :)

My memory of the game was that the aliens would step on the tiles and cheat taking slot of the fum out of the game
