Hey, I actually
liked the Library. What people didn't like about it was, well, yeah it was a bit repetitive, you basically did more or less the same thing for four floors, but mostly people didn't like that you had the flood, well, flooding out of the walls and ammo was all of a sudden more scarce, forcing you to adapt a new play style from what you played the first half of the game with. Hey, it sounds stupid, but this was new and revolutionary for it's time. Kind of like the massive levels with narry a load time anywhere, and being able to seamlessly use vehicles.
I get a kick out of modern day people getting the game and trying to "act" disappointed. I mean, stop trying to compare it to games 10 years newer, stick with what was available for the time and you can really see the thing shine. Of course, that truly is beyond some people.

One of my friends asked if I was getting the new Halo game and I said HELL YEAH. Then they started taking about5 the anniversarry stuff and I was like...oh...no. Fuck that. I mean, I already have four copies for my four original Xboxes from way back. Why would I buy the game, dumbed down to "unreal's" graphics? I like the quirks and look of the original game. I know they are going to just screw over the original game (whichby the way, I'm still playing....a hell of a lot more than any of the newer ones I have)
Looking forward to 4, new story line (or continuation, or whatever) but I don't see any reason to get "CE Remade"
Haha, what? "Dumbed down" graphics? Have you seen the videos?
Why yes. Yes I have. Have you actually
played any of the games? Part of what made Halo CE so damn much fun was the feeling of free roaming it had going for it. The exploration. Part of the reason the newer games feel like your playing "in a hallway" is because of the
limitations of the unreal engine. In order to give you a level as big as the first game did, you would have to have lockout points built into the game. You know, points where you pass here, and are no longer allowed to go back. This drastically shrunk the game, and is part of the reason the first is often so regarded as the best of the series. Outside of the campaign is where people will even mention the newer ones, but you know what? Without bots (which halo still doesn't have) the online death match crap is to me, just that. Crap. It may
look purdy, but you know what? Looking good isn't everything.
I would MUCH
MUCH rather play, I don't know, some looser unheard of game that also uses the unreal engine, has bots, is much faster, and allows you to modify your character with meaningful mods rather than just pretty pictures. Don't know if you've ever played it, it's pretty underground and the name is practically unknown. The game is called Unreal.
Outside of death match, which I'm sorry, not everybody in the universe worships, the biggest draw for Halo CE (redux) would be to play the original campaign. And you know what? I don't see it working.
Of course, it might be fun to play ratrace 16 players with rockets and grenades again

fun times there.
