I am reading Atari 130XE Machine Language for the Absolute Beginner, and it says use their Assemble to use the book.

in Chapter 11 there is a Assembler, but on line 1060 there are some unusual characters, i have look at the atari characters, but can not find it,

i was wondering if anybody could look at and tell what the characters are

i think you are talking about the disassembler in Appendix 10?

and that line 1060 looks like CRTL-X to me...

and i might suggest using the assem/editor cart to get started with small programs, or even use something better, as what ever you use, you will need to re-learn a more powerful assembler at some point...

Yes Sorry it is Appendix 10, i think line 1060 INFOS$="20 spaces"

yup that is another possibility, it shows that char for spaces...

i like on page 27 of that book... it shows a binary four :'D
