Which Lynx game has the best box art?

My choices:

1) Tournament Cyberball. It's just an okay game but it has awesome box art! I remember seeing this and buying it right away. I already knew Cyberball from the arcades but this artwork was far and away better than the artwork on the arcade machine.

2) Ishido: The Way of the Stones. I love the artwork on this game's box so I was a little disappointed by the game's graphics. It's a good strategy game but I wish they could have done something like the box cover to spice up the graphics a bit.

Shadow of the Beast for me. If any of you are Yes fans, you probably know already that the same artist who did a lot of Yes's classic era artwork did Shadow of the Beast's artwork too. His name is Roger Dean. Long before I got to play the game, the box art had me intrigued.

Wow, good choice with Shadow of the Beast! I still stick by my first and second choices but that's a really good one, too.

I saw Yes in concert last year. I actually went to see Peter Frampton and Yes performed after that. I really liked their albums 90215 (?) and Big Generator, too.

1. Shadow of the beast for sure. In fact, this cover was also picked by game-critic flying omelette as one of the best video game covers in general. See below:

http://flyingomelett...nk/boxart2.html

--------------------------

2. Super Asteroids and Missile Command. Looks almost like a 2600 cover! I love how they combine the two "universes" into a mosaic.

--------------------------------------

3. Gordo 106. The cover has a subtle noir/nihilist tone, and could have almost been drawn by an artist who did the garbage pail kids circa 87. It has style and personality, and the game itself is excellent to boot and beats scrapyard dog in my opinion as one of the best mascot lynx titles.

----------------------------------------

4. Dracula the Undead. The attention to detail is excellent, and this pic may even beat Castlevania's depiction of Simon Belmont gazing at Transylvania in the distance. A nice pic of a game about vampires before vampires were "cool".......cough....Twilight........cough. Must be 14? How odd..........

---------------------------------------------

5. Turbo Sub. This is classic atari all the way, and is extremely reminiscent of the 80's stylings of pics that graced the covers of Galaxian, Asteroids, or Space Invaders.........or even Journey or Boston album covers for that matter! Gotta love the human skeleton at the bottom. It adds a certain, shall I say, darkness to the universe...........which is a stark contrast to the jovial music that plays on the Turbo Sub title screen!

---------------------------------
honorable mentions- Steel Talons and Xenophobe.

I'd say my top three is:

- Shadow of the Beast...to be honest,I think it's one of the best video game covers ever (even though it has little to do with the game itself).
- Dracula the Undead.
- Tournament Cyberball

Honerable mentions:
- Joust...well, knights on ostridges...nuff said.
- Xenophobe...nice Giger style drawing.
- Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden III...Ninja, ninja, ninja, ninja...

Nice choices! Super Asteroids/Missile Command looks great. I also like Joust; they're not just ostriches, they're CYBORG ostriches! Hah, ha!

I'm sticking with my first two choices and will add XYBots as my third choice, then Super Asteroids/Missile Command, then Joust. Shadow of the Beast is good but perhaps too abstract for me to include it in my top five.

Thanks, 2d gamer, for the links to the artwork. I got a chance to look over some other games. I've never played it but the box art to Basketbrawl looks good, too.
