Pretty sweet looking. This is the adapter I got and it costs around $20 plus shipping. Works on my Gamecube with the gameboy player. Every snes controller I've plugged into it has work. Including Joysticks.

Where did you order that from? I hadn't seen one of those before and I might pick one up "just for the hell of it" :)

I got mine off fleabay. Retrozone has them for $17 but I've never dealt with them. I'd do a search on either google or ebay for snes to wii adapter first. There also are ones that have a port for nes, snes, N64 and genesis. Just need to make sure one end is a gamecube end. You may want to confirm gamecube compatibility. Just checked fleabay and saw the 4 in one pretty cheap. The one I got said it was compatible with the gamecube and I've used it with my gameboy player and works great and I've tried many different snes controllers and joysticks and all have worked. Hope this helps. Just make sure they are compatible with the gamecube.http://www.retrousb.com/index.php?cPath=22&osCsid=430af7bd0d5b1c1d25e09e621806abf6, link for retrozone. Good luck,

The 4 in 1 is not bad, but when you plug in the Genesis 6 Buton Pad, reads it as a 3 Button Pad

Bought a 4-in-1 for a friend; he said the lag made it unusable.

I've never understood why the GBA Player didn't allow you to use the GBA + link cable as a controller. Seems to me to be the most natural controller for a GB game possible.

If I remember correctly, it does let you use a GBA connected to a GBA-GCN link cable (different from the regular GBA link cable) plugged in to the GCN controller port as a controller. The link port on the GBP works the same as a regular GBA link port, which is why it won't let you use the GBA as a controller for games that don't support it.

I didn't realize they released that in Europe. But those pictures have to be of a European version, unless it's a nice attempt at a knockoff. Was it a Club Nintendo exclusive over there, too?

BrianC is correct, you can do it with one of those GCN/GBA link cables like you'd use to link up Metroid Fusion with Metroid Prime to unlock Metroid, to hook up GBA's to play Four Swords on the GCN, etc.

I keep an original GBA around hooked up to my GCN that I use just for the Game Boy Player with that cable and it works just fine. Moved my Hori digital controller over to my other GCN for classic compilations and such. GameCube controllers, even the nice Hori controller, are often less than ideal for many GBA games.

The problem with that adapter for a SuperNes controller when using it with the Game Boy Player is that the GBA A & B buttons are rigidly mapped to A & B on the actual SuperNes controller. But A is just a bit too high up on the SuperNes controller to comfortably hold B down (Such as to run in a Mario Advance title) while using A to jump at the same time. I bought one from RetroZone thinking it would be nice for the GBP and instead ended up keeping it hooked up to my Wii for a few VC SNES games after realizing I didn't care for the button layout in many games (Cheaper than importing that Club Nintendo SFC/SuperNes styled Classic Controller).

That's why platformers and such on the SuperNes would use Y and B on the SuperNes for such functions instead of A & B. You can easily hold down Y and still easily use B at the same time.

If the top one is real, then it means it made it outside of Japan (Notice the SuperNes branding on it rather than Super Famicom).

Wish NOA would release them here.

Yep, it is. I've seen them at Club Nintendo UK's "Stars Catalogue", on page 2. It does however cost you a total of 7000 star points, and you will have to have a post address in the UK to get one.

The catalogure can be found here:

The pic in the first post looks like the European style SNES controller. The US one had lavender and dark purple buttons instead of RGBY.
