Hey im modding a nes controller to work on a 7800. And im wondering what is the best solder to use. Thanks

I'd use either 63/37 or 60/40 SnPb, rosin core solder. Lead is in solder for good reason, avoid the lead free stuff if you can.
Assuming you're in US/Canada, Radio Shack should have it.
