1. He has a very large knowledge base for prototypes and WIPs so he would easily be able to compare it to others and tell how complete the game is, how close it is to other WIPs and therefore how far along the historical timeline it is -- as well as knowing more specific details about the history of the games to provide extra information to anyone that has a prototype game, and
2. As he's posted about in the past, he is working on a very large project to catalog, detail, and create a repository of Atari 2600 history and development during the lifespan of the console. Prototypes and WIPs will therefore be of much interest to him to know about so he can continue this very cool project.
I'm sorry if that steps on any toes or anything, but as I said in my previous post I know for a fact he gets very busy with hectic work schedules and sometime isn't on here much so I'll suggest someone with a proto to PM him every time just so he can be aware of what's out there for his historical project. If he wants to buy it, frankly that's his business and certainly not something I nor anyone else on AA needs to get involved in (unless you're the seller, of course). My act was purely a selfless endeavor to ensure someone who is deeply involved with the cataloging of Atari history is aware of something with potential historical value.
Anyway, I'm done speaking on the matter, as continuing some sort of "debate" about this does no justice to it at all, and only facilitates in making things likely worse off and more awkward. I just wanted to explain my motivations and desire to help.
