They could have compared the Atari 8-bit version with the other 8-bit versions. Okay It is not called Lemmings, but it's called The Brundles and was an official release during the early 90s by KE Soft.
It is on youtube:

Wow!!

What's the point in not calling it Lemmings? :-) If you're going to all the trouble to "copy" that much of the game (virtually all of it), then "copy" the name too.. ;-)

Yes I am aware of this version, although as far as I know it's not been officially licensed from Psygnosis hence why the name change, the comparison pages compare just official releases anyway, though I will gladly add it to the unofficial version pages when I get chance, if u could link me some information, screenshots, boxart that kind of thing that would be very helpful thanks.

That's pretty neat, there's another unofficial Lemmings version floating around for A8, from Polish coders.

Well,
besides half a dozen of demos, there are also some playable Lemmings clones on the A8:

- the Brundles: http://www.atari.fan...p?files_id=4532
- (XMAS) Lemmings: http://www.atari.fan...p?files_id=4726
- Tommingi: http://www.atari.fan...p?files_id=3232
- Lemmingi: http://www.atari.fan...p?files_id=4169

and some more versions (there are also lots of demo-versions with one or two playable levels).
If you are crazy, you may even count "One man and his droid" as a Lemmings clone (you are a robo/droid-dog and have to guide sheep to the exit however): http://www.atari.fan...p?files_id=2549

You know the Sam Coupé version works fine with the mouse though, don't you? Even though the only Sam emulator I'm aware of, Sim Coupe, has the mouse interface switched off by default?
