Hello once again to those around Hampton Roads! Last year we had a blast and are running a second event on August 27, and it's FREE!

The Southeastern Virginia Gaming (SeVaGaming) group and Chesapeake Central Library presents,

Event:
Freeplay 2: Modern & Classic Gaming
When:
August 27, 2011 starting at 9 AM
Where:
Chesapeake Central Library
298 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, VA 23322-5598

It's the last Saturday of the month. We're looking to have Gaming on arcades, consoles, and computers with a few Competitions. We also have the rights to show a few Movies and will have a few people participate in Panels. Did we mention it is FREE?!

Final Fantasy: Advent Children
Double Dragon

Evening films (starting at 8pm):
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
Tron: Legacy

We will have David Hernly (www.aurcade.com) out and about ranking high scores on the arcades.

Confirmed, we have several pinball machines added to the line-up along with a few of the new Stern pinball machines at Freeplay include:
Tron Legacy (Limited edition) and Dark Knight (Limited edition)
Starwars Episode 1 (Williams 2000), Dr. Who, Hook, Lord of the Rings, and others!

There's a lot stirring and it's less than a week away so if you can managed to come out on the 27th.

Hurricane Irene has caused the city of Chesapeake to close its facilities down for the weekend; so the event is being postponed. We're going to be looking at dates to reschedule so I'll get the word out once it's known.
