Looking through some arcade stuff for a review I stumbled onto Data East,s Caveman Ninja game.
But I remember it on the Sega Genesis as Joe & Mac. As best I can tell they are pretty much the same accept the arcade version is more polished.

Do you remember the original or the home ports of this game. (Reminds me of Toki)

Er, I always remember it as "Joe & Mac - Caveman Ninjas". Not saying that's correct, just how I remember it. Mainly played it on SNES, I think? Fun series of games though. Toki was rad too. Maybe somebody could make a new crossover title with both?

Mamecade is here? Nice. :)

Joe & Mac is a fun series, and its various home ports are interesting as well. For instance, the Genesis one which is clearly a replication of the arcade game, but then the SNES game, where the physics and levels were modified, as well as a key-finding system where extra stages could be unlocked via the main map screen. The NES and GB games were even good, with their own quirks while still retaining the charge attack function. I never did play any of the home computer conversions. I wasn't able to get the DOS version working.. I'm still curious to know how it stacks up to the others.

Actually there is a company in France that is licensed to remake Toki in a modern scale, I have heard they want to do Joe and Mac too.

Forgot all about that. When did that surface, 2006? Wonder how progress is on it.
