Lars recently released quite a few Jaguar & PC software titles as donationware - yay!

Take a trip to his blog for more info and don't forget to help him bring about his work-in-progress titles by donating and to say thanks for all his great efforts!

Use the download link on his blog to see the full list of titles, plenty to keep your Jaguar busy for quite some time!

Lars has made hard copies of most of these titles in the past, so I wonder if he could make the files available to those who donate? Not my place to say that really though, but would be another good incentive to those who support his efforts. Maybe alter them slightly to differentiate them form the originals so as not to upset existing collectors who own them.

Hrmmm Id like to, but I have a MAC- and no experience burning Jaguar games. I'll donate if I am able to do this, so any links or advice would be appreciated!

Burning CDi files seems to be a big hassle for Mac owners. There was a lot of talk at NexGam regarding our games & ULS using the format, seems hardly any of them own Windows machines!

I have seen guides on Dreamcast sites that make mention of conversion tools but, not being a Mac owner, I have no first-hand experience of them. You could have a google & see what you come up with... e.g. dcemulation have a tool that might be what you are after. Failing that, I'm sure some friendly Windows user nearby will let you have use of their machine for 15 minutes.

BTW, not get to do any testing of your friend's game, I thought that was a CD title?

Thanks for the suggestions! I will have to go check out what I can, I may have to do that. Which games are you referring to? id like to test/play any that I can

I don't have a Mac, but I do have a Google:

Liquid CD, available here claims to be able to write cdi files.

also I think Toast, available here can do it too.

You can blame Atari (and their dumb idea for storing data as audio) for these not being in ISO format

(If anyone gets these to work, and feels like documenting it as a guide, we would be happy to host it on our site as part of our "how to burn a JagCD" page)

Actually the releases of Ocean Depths, JagMIND: Bomb Squad and Lost Treasures all include CD lables for printing inlcuded in the archive.
They are modified versions of the originals, so they include "Donationware" on the lable.

They were even in the archives I tested, double d-oh! OK, I admit, I'm not one for boxes on shelves, they're sitting in a case logic file with black marker pen 'labels' and my jagCD units all hate me anyway

Thank you Lars for turning your homebrews as donationwares even if I almost bought all of them.

Surprisingly I am one of the ones who can't play Jaguar Mind because wether the official released CD or the image burnt on a CD-R, my Jag CD start to read the game files and blocks at this point.

I still hope you will succeed in completing Eerievale as the demos (2003 and 2004) make me think to Myst on many points: nice pictures, strange atmosphere...it could be a very cool game to add the Jaguar's games library.

I'm pretty certain you can burn a .cdi with Toast but I haven't tried since getting the new Intel-only version which had a bit of a facelift. In general Toast is the way to go when it comes to burning on Mac. I'll give it a shot later and report back.
