So I decided to give Duke Nukem Forever another shot and it is still driving me crazy with the load times...especially since I die easier since I have it on Hard.
So should I just restart the game on Normal just to beat it and say the hell with Hard difficulty? Right now I'm at Vegas In Ruin on hard and it's driving me crazy! lol

I finished the game on normal and the load times were annoying enough. I would never consider playing through on hard. It isn't worth the frustration.

The load times are really not bad though, try playing a Neo Geo CD game or a old floppy/cassette game then we can talk about long.

The load times will keep me from playing it though on hard. Unless there is something ultra cool for beating it on hard, I don't really see the point anyways.
I like the game enough, but the load time kills it.

What console? If its on xbox, why not install the game onto the hard drive? It greatly reduces load times.
I get very little load times on my computer, but I am running a Raid 0...

UPDATE/BUMP:
I FINALLY beat the game on Hard, and ran through a 2nd playthough on easy to get the gunslinger trophy. NOW I'm playing my 3rd playthrough on the unlocked HARDEST setting to try and get a platinum trophy in this game.
NOW would it be worth it?
Has anyone gotten 100% achievements/platinum trophy in this game?

I literally shivered at the memory of the horrific load times of this game. I didn't fear the enemies in the game. I feared dying because of the load times. But for the $2 it cost for the 2 days of Redbox, it was worth $2. If I had to pay for the 2 days, it wouldn't have been worth it.
But yeah, I remembered loading games off cassette. We had a 1200XL with a 410 recorder. And we'd load Mickey and the Great Outdoors which took 20 minutes to boot. Then we'd go eat dinner. and after dinner, the game would be ready to play. that's if it didn't error out and we'd have to rewind the tape and restart the whole thing all over again.
But at least with that game, it was a one time load, not after each death.
