ghsqb
Hello all, The owner of a shop I go to has offered to sell me a Vectrex kiosk, but I have no idea what these things are worth. Can someone with more knowledge than I have of these things give me an opinion of the value of something like this? Comes with all games pictured w/ the kiosk. TIA Edited July 27, 2011 by ghsqb
+save2600
F@ck is that cool! You never know what shop owners are thinking. I'd ask him to throw a figure out there and see what he says. Failing that, try offering him a couple of C notes. With all the games and the Vec itself though? Damn... I'd say be prepared to spend $500. Maybe more? to a real Vectrex nut. ghsqb
He's already thrown a number out to me: $1000 It seemed high, but like I said I really don't know what these things are worth, so hoping to get a more educated opinion here. the.golden.ax
$1000 is fair, I wouldn't hesitate. AX
ianoid
I would say for the Kiosk alone $400-$1000. $1k if closer to mint. I can already see a crack, and condition is everything. The Vec and boxed games are maybe $100-$150 worth at best. I would probably spring for the lot at $500 locally, but $1k would be more than I could stomach in a local transaction. ian
DeusExMachina
Definitely a good buy!
AtariTexas
Thats something you dont see everyday. Maybe you can get him down a couple hundred bucks, and if you could afford it, then go for it!
Stan
WOW. I don't like the Vectrex really but that's a damn cool display. I'd play it and own one if I could get a hold of something like that. Beautiful.
jeffgamer
It would be too rich for my blood. However, I think something like this is probably worth $1000 or more easily if one were to sell it on eBay. It's a heckuva lot rarer than a 3D goggles, which would go for a couple of hundred or more alone.
Desfeek
This is EXACTLY the collection centerpiece many Vectrex diehards are looking for. You should have no issues doubling or even tripling your money, even at $1k. Lucky guy.

ghsqb
Thanks so much everyone for the knowledge. I'll keep checking to see if anyone else has some insight but you've all pretty much convinced me.
Zwackery
Depending on condition, probably about $1000. See if the owner will throw in the Vectrex and games, and then try to bargain a bit. I know we are a global market and everything, but the fact that this item is in Canada would make shipping cost prohibitive, so I'd use that as another point to talk him down a bit. holygrailvideogames.com
In great condition you might be looking at $1,500-$2,000 U.S. on eBay. This one isn't mint. If it was local to me I would be tempted to buy it at $1,000 just because I would love to have this. You might be able to talk him down to $600-$800. Offer him $500 and see what he says. atarinut76
I agree offer 500. then meet half way at $750? I would buy it up at a $1,000 though
