Sounds like a really sweet store. Too bad it's a 2-day drive from me. :)

I happen to like Kung Food a lot. It's not a brilliant game, but it's absolutely not awful. I put many, many hours into it back when it came out, and I actually had a Gameboy-owning friend who was quite jealous that nothing comparable was available for his handheld. I have beaten it, and I think it's very playable. I don't rave about it as much as games like Lemmings, Shadow of the Beast, and Slime World, but I don't think it would be a turn-off to a new Lynx owner.

Stun Runner, Pac Land, Ninja Gaiden, Ninja Gaiden 3, Toki, Roadblasters, Ms Pac Man, Blue Lightning, and Xenophobe are my favorites.
AVOID Batman and Bill and Ted. Those games made my Lynx sad.

I think Battlewheels and Rampart would be two good first games.

Rampart is great fun and offers good combination of strategy/puzzle/action. Battlewheels will show you what the Lynx is capable off when it comes to handling graphics.

Really? I heard that Kung Food is awful, Batman is good but too hard, and Hydra and SotB are awesome.
Kung Food is awful. In fact, I consider it pretty mean to seriously advise someone to get that game, because it's one of those games that's so awful, if it was your first game, or one of your first, you'd think the LYNX was a total piece of crap and that all of us here are a bunch of lunatics.
I kinda like that one. :P The others the OP mentioned finding I actually gave/threw away at some point.

I like Kung Food too! I just can't seem to keep enough health/life to get anywhere past the middle of the 2nd level.
The 1st level boss is where I loose all my life.

As for the OP, I would say Stun Runner, Gauntlet 3rd Encounter, Klax, Shanghai, Zarlor Merc, and a game I love and have no idea why....... Robo Squash. Fantastic.

Well I started with Todd's Adventures in Slime world and Checkered Flag when I got a Lynx. Slime World has a hidden "pop the zit" game. Stun Runner and Gates of Zendocon are pretty fun too.

Would really rock if someone ported that to Nintendo 3DS for real 3D effect :D :D :D
