So...I'm from Mass. and visit the in-laws in Maine 4 times a year. My mother-in-law loves the shiny new Goodwill store in Rockland, and I take her frequently...but I never see any retro gaming stuff in the electronics aisle. The same goes for the Salvation Army store.

Does anyone frequent those stores and have any luck?? Or, do they rarely carry any retro gaming stuff?

I cant speak for the Goodwill in Rockland, but for the Goodwill So. Portland, every once in a while I find something of value. For example, this past weekend I found a fully functional Microsoft Sidewinder USB joystick for 1.99.
