Answering my own question. No, Ghost House is essentially Monster Bash 2.

Sorry i missed your question! Ghost house on the SMS is different but uses some of the same elements of the arcade game. i guess it could be considered a sequel. I really liked the sms version and in fact ended up rewiring a sms controller to flip the A-B buttons to be easier to play (most sega sms games use flipped buttons from what you would expect on a NES game, i'm more use to the NES button config).

I'm not sure if there is any wiki info on the game and if sega ever officially said it was but that would be neat to know! again, sorry i missed your question!!!!!

Yep, looks great! Though I would redo the bat sprites if I were you, to have them as full solid figures. :)

Thanks! good point with the bat sprites! I will likely try to redraw them to some degree. I'm hoping not to loose the arcades art style too much!
