I see Nerf N-Strike and N-Strike Elite in a lot of Bargain Bins in my local gaming stores and although I know they are kid-friendly light gun games at the price of five bucks I admit I might be tempted to pick one of these up. Anyone played either game before? Are they lame? The reviews mention how the first game has a Boom Blox-style stacked crate game that can be quite fun and strategic.
My only worry is I don't have the red filter that Elite needed in order to unlock certain codes but is that a big deal? Will it wreck the game if I can't see the red codes?

I'd imagine you could read them anyways. Cranium Kabooki for the wii "required" a red lens for one player to see the correct answers or something, but it was ruined by the fact that it wasn't all that hard to read them without the lens.

Its a decent non-violent FPS for kids, I got a kick out of it at first but havent used it in a long time. Then again, I dont have much time for games anyway, but if I did, it wouldnt be the first game Id go back to.

They double as Nerf dart guns, get a pack of Nerf suction darts. IMO they're kinda powerful guns for their size.

Both the nerf games are pretty fun and for $5 you can't go wrong.
