IGN ran an article listing what it considers to be the Top 25 Wii Games since the launch of the console....

IGN's List

Do you disagree with any of their choices? Are there games that should be on that list that aren't?

For myself, I haven't played all the games on their list but for the ones I have played, I agree with their decision to include them on the list. I'm not sure, though, that Tatsunoko or Monster Hunter or Muramasa or Okami are better than Little Kings Story, Fire Emblem, Black Op's (which I consider the best FPS on the system), or Fragile Dreams.

That looks like a pretty solid list. It's a nice reminder of the games I need to pick up to round out my collection. I am a little surprised to see Sonic Colors on there. I didn't realize it was that good of a game. Maybe I should check it out. It also reminds me that I own Red Steel 2 and haven't even played it yet. :ponder:

Sonic Colors? :ponder:

I agree with everything except for the order of the list. Some games I would have higher on the list and others lower.
Super Paper Mario was a major disappointment for me. It's very nice if you never played the first two but as personal choice it wouldn't make the list at all for me.

I can't see the list here from work, but if it's not on there, then the Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection should be.

Well, if anything, anybody complaining about the lack of good games on the system needs to choose a few games from this list that they haven't played and game away. It's definitely a list of heavy-hitters for the most part.

The great news is you can get a lot of those games dirt cheap right now on Amazon (used or new).

I think I might want to add Endless Ocean to the list, just because the game is totally different than most offerings and is fun (and relaxing) in its own way.

I enjoyed Endless Ocean as well. Is it worth it to also pick up EO2? I never played the sequel (kind of forgot about it actually).

I never played the sequel either. I remember reading somewhere it was more of the same but for me sometimes that's all I want.

I would have to put Fire Emblem or Little Kings story on that list for sure. I would remove Resident Evil 4 since its a Gamecube game at heart. I know the controls are better but I can't include that and omit Fire Emblem or Little Kings story. Also, I much rather prefer the Gamecube version of Zelda Twighlight.

I find it slightly entertaining that 5 of the 7 games I own for my Wii are on that list.

Endless Ocean was GREAT! I need the sequel as well. PS2 owners should get EverBlue 2, the pseudo-prequel from Arika. Everblue 1 is also PAL (no US release :()

Only thing is, in Everblue 2 you can die by running out of air or getting attacked.

Zak and Wiki should be higher, as should Monster Hunter Tri. Little Kings Story should be on the list as I think IGN even gave it a 9.5, as should Rune Factory Frontier, which I believe they gave an 8.5 Also the Sakura Wars RPG they gave a 9.5 to as well (Pretty sure), and it's absent from this list.

24. Wario Ware: Smooth Moves -- No.

23. Boom Blox -- The sequel was better, and IGN even rated the sequel higher. No.

20. Okami -- Good game, for the Gamecube.

16. Sonic Colors -- I have a problem with Sonic anything actually. Sonic was a character Sega pulled out of their ass at the start of the 16-bit generation because they felt they needed some sort of Mario-esque mascot to help push the Genesis in the US. Now that they're no longer in the hardware business they should bury Sonic forever. No.

10. Resident Evil 4 -- Good game, for the Gamecube.

8. Tatsunoko vs. Capcom -- No. Sure, it's swell that Capcom released an exclusive fighting game for the Wii, but I guarantee you 98% of the people who flushed the money on this game had no idea who any of the Tatsunoko characters were. They were just happy to get a Capcom fighting game.

3. Metroid Prime Trilogy -- Great games, for the Gamecube.

Most of the list is ok, but the writer of the list should have been told that the site he's working for already has easy access to the top Wii games, and to pay attention to the review scores already given. Most of the titles this guy did not include.

Instead of being called "IGNs Top 25" it should be called "Some guy who "works" for IGNs top 25"
