Hi everybody,

In 2006-2007, I planned to make my own Arcade Controller for ColecoVision, I showed my first prototype untit to Pixelboy.... to be honest, Pixelboy was not impressed at all by my ptototype wich was a basic wooden box with a hacked stock controller inside
But that was only the beginning...

Next, I contact 5-11under to help me making a professional PCB interface. We work on it for about 2 years. In 2011 , the first prototype PCB was made and tested. So I start building a great arcade controller with a nice a Mario Bros overlay

Here I'm showing you the Colecovision Arcade Quality Controller I made. This is the prototype but this will give you an idea of its quality
In the next months, I'm going to build more units with my custom made Colecovision control panel overlay

As you can see, the Mario Bros controller only have 1 fire button per player, but the final version of the Arcade Controller will feature more than that, and you'll be able to choose wich buttons you wanted to map and will even be able to use a Keypad
I'll post more infos about it soon with pics to come! ;)

Anyway, so here it is :)

Thanks guys :)

It will be avalaible as a complete unit (as showed) or a DIY Kit where you'll be able to build your own arcade controller or even your own ColecoVision Arcade Cabinet
You can even use a real coin door if you're willing to!

I'm aiming to release this in early 2012

Very Nice overlay!

Just a question out of subject here... but the Zombie Near game i can see on the video in your ultimate cartridge. Is it a portage of the MSX freeware game? Or something new?

The author of Zombie Near contact me to release his game for Colecovision.... he then improved his MSX version for the CV

Good eye BTW ;)

BTW: The Pinball Plunger is not for a CV project ;)

Playing the Colecovision version of Mario Bros with that controller is almost like playing on a real Mario Bros arcade cabinet :D .... nothing compared to the original controller

I thought your controller housing looked like a metal box.

Perhaps another video just rotating the controller box around, and opening it?

Thanks :)

As you can see, its a little mess inside the panel, but I'll soon make the clean up and mount the PCBs inside (they are loose right now)

That looks awesome J-F! How about making room on the base for a keypad and perhaps 4 buttons and a spinner so the Super Action games can be played on it?

Man I could certainly use something like this in my game room... keep up the good work J-F!

A keypad option and 4 buttons is already there ;)
This is already being mapped on the Arcade Kit PCB
... adding a spinner is without no doubt doable using our Arcade Kit PCB since you have a female/male controller connection :)
Even the Roller Ball could be mounted

Do you have an estimated price on these units? The fully done one (I wouldn't want the DIY one... lol) before shipping. It looks awesome!

Not a only a cool piece of hardware to own, this is the better Colecovision Controller you could own .... if you were an arcade alumnus back in the days ;)

Also, the final version will be avalaible in both left or right handed to accomodate everyone

For a complete Unit
Should be around $200 to $250 for a 2-Player Controller

The Mario Bros Arcade Controller is for sale if someone is willing to have it

I'm asking $300 + actual shipping cost

As a bonus: the Mario Bros 32K Prototype #1 of 5 signed

How about a ColecoVision controller shapped like the Coleco Telstar Arcade (see pic below). That would cover all four controller options:

1) Standard Hand Controller/Super Action Controller Panel
2) Exp. Mod. #2 Driving Controller Panel
3) Roller Controller Panel

Just having some fun with you, your controller looks tremendous and I can't wait to have the opportunity to purchase one from you.
