A guy here on the RI craigslist is selling a Jag and 11 games for $200. What is a fair asking price for this stuff?

This is NOT my ad.

Definitely not $200. When he said he paid nearly $70 for some of his games, I thought to myself, "Hmm.. Telegames releases". Nope, none there. Also, he says he paid $400 with one game? What? I thought these things were $250 when it released. Haha!

His game list is not even complete... Would you trust someone who couldn't even be bothered to describe his stuff properly?

Definitely not worth your (or anyone else's) time. Stay away, unless the guy drops his asking price by at least $100.

bought it new when it first came out and it was 400+ bucks with one game...i boought 10 additional games, some were as much as 70... i have a good 600 in this system... some of the games are pinball, snowboard, grand prix, checkered flag, dragon, club drive, tempest, trevor mcfur, cybermorph, motorcycles and more... take it all for 200 cash no trades thanks
"Grand Prix"? "Motorcycles"?
Well, I wouldn't dismiss it out of hand - I would call the guy and get more info. Maybe if he really bought all these items new and he still has the boxes in excellent shape. Or maybe he has some of the harder to find games complete, such as AvP...

yea its sortof hard to tell which games he is even talking about, despite the limited number of games in the Jaguar library :D I also like how he says it includes 11 games, proceeds to list 10 games, then says "and more" :P

It also does not say if anything is complete or what kind of a/v cable .etc he has (once for example I picked up a box and "video connectors" really meant a catbox!

Even if it is all complete and in perfect condition I'd probably not go higher than $120-$150 tho. If loose maybe $60-$80

One hopes he has the "Demon" and "Nazi" games. Maybe even the "Space Ship" game :D

It may be worth a phone call but $200 is pretty steep considering the games he is talking about.... or may be talking about. If everything is CIB it's getting closer though I have a suspicion nothing will be CIB.

I wonder what the "more" game is? :ponder:

If it's a boxed Aircars then go for it! :P
Did that game ever have a box?

Some informative- and funny- replies here. I have no intention of contacting the seller, as buying any additional system is not in the budget for a little while.

Generally, what is a good starting price for a Jag and a handful of good games? Thanks.

Truthfully bro, in my honest opinion it would only be worth it if EVERYTHING was boxed and in 100% mint condition. Also depends on what the last game is too.

As for a nice starter price for that sort of post (System with 11 games) with mixed boxed and non-boxed games...I'd agree with everyone else and say between $100-150

On ePay you can pick up a working unboxed console with a power supply, controller, and a crummy RF connector for maybe $50. An AV cable might cost you a few bucks more, and unboxed commons usually are in the $10-$20 range. depending on the playability of the game.

Ok so this is gonna sound crazy (possibly?) and off topic but how come some ppl refer to eBay as ePay? Is it different in other countries?

Thanks, that's been bothering me forever! lol

because of high sellers fees, and multiple fine print fees that take dough from the seller.

It used to not be so bad. Like, when eBay first started. ;)
