I am making a short list of possible Arcade games that would be great on the 5200 console. Just some food for thought. If anything, maybe enough positive feedback on some of these will cause the beginnings of another port Posted Image Here we go!

Amidar (http://classicgaming...m.Detail&id=238)
Arkanoid (http://classicgaming...m.Detail&id=275)
Kung Fu Masters (http://classicgaming...um.Detail&id=93)
Solar Fox (http://classicgaming...um.Detail&id=61)

Just some food for thought.

Wasn't the original arcade version of Toobin' a 2-joystick game or am I misremembering? Perhaps a 5200 port could join Space Dungeon and Robotron 2084 in using the coupler...

Black Widow
Blaster
Gorf (I don't consider the one that is currently available a viable port of Gorf - it's a joke!)
Bubbles
Cosmic Avenger
Juno First
Konami GT
Krull
Major Havok
Night Driver
Quantum
Reactor
Scramble
Space Firebird
Tac/Scan
Tail Gunner
Time Pilot
Tunnel Hunt
War Of the Bugs

I've always wished for ports of Dragonfire and Smurf Rescue.

Dragonfire I go back and forth between the simple 2600 version and the versions for the CoCo and ColecoVision.
Either would make me happy. There is little hope though as there are no a8 versions of those games.

How's the Atari 8bit version of Spy Hunter and could it be improved with the analog control and keypad that the 5200 provides?

Blaster is available for the Atari 5200, the prototype was found and released in 2004. Krull was scheduled to be done for the 5200, was canceled early on.

Juno First was released as a homebrew for the 2600 recently, but it was actually released in 1983 by Datasoft for the Atari 800 computer. So of all those, it should be the easiest to do. One issue might be that I think it ran kind of slow on the 800.

Is there a game play video and screenshots of Blaster anywhere?

Juno First on the A8 is one of my favorite games of all time! It's a great port in my opinion. :)

Bubbles

I think Bubbles would be a game that takes advantage of the 5200 controller nicely.

Does it run well on say a 400? I've never seen it on an actual 8-bit, and the one video I've seen on youtube is a guy running it off an Atarimax cart I think, and he complained that the game ran slow on his 800.

I honestly don't know, I've only ever ran it on my stock 130XE via Atarimax cart myself. Ran perfectly fine on that and it was nice and smooth with no problems. I'd assume it wouldn't work optimum on a 400/800, to be honest.
