This bundle really looks nice and at $20 more than just the game, its a pretty good deal.

But I will never figure out why Nintendo does some of the things they do, though..... would it be so difficult to also release a matching Nunchuk??????

Here in Norway I assume we will get the usual launch prices; that is 499 NOK ($93 USD) [599 NOK ($112 USD) after the first week] for the regular game itself, and perhaps 699 NOK ($131 USD) or more likely 749 NOK ($140 USD) for the bundle. That's not too bad as the Wii remote+ itself usually costs about 499 NOK itself.

I only got 11 rupees ;) .

Seeing as I haven't bought a Wii game in, oh, about 8 months or so I may actually spring for this. I agree that a gold nunchuck should go with it. It'll look a little silly having mismatched controllers. But, hey, who looks at their hands while they play?

I don't like the Skyward Sword logo on it. Would've looked better with a Triforce on it or Zelda spelled out in it's traditional font. Or just blank like that area is on a regularly Wiimote.

If they make a Zelda Wii for the day after Thanksgiving I'll be in that midnight line up.

It is a good deal and it's definately cool-looking... but honestly, not worth it if I already have four Wii controllers... not even worth the effort to sell one controller and swap it out.

Kudos to Nintendo for offering a cool bundle, though. Just that I'll pass this time.

Well, I preordered this last night even though I haven't finished a Zelda game since Link to the Past.. :lolblue:

Haven't bought a game on launch day in a while now, so I guess I will give this one a shot.. and I will keep the controller in the package as a collectible.

Oh my...... the bundle is now $200 on Amazon! http://www.amazon.co...ASIN=B002I0GEHI

Not sure if this is going to be in short supply or what, but it seems very strange that Amazon is no longer listing this bundle for sale and only ONE seller is now selling it.

Skyward Sword is really hitting the big time as a $40 hard cover strategy guide is now available for pre-order:

I'm not sure I'd pay that much for a strategy guide (and I certainly wouldn't buy it from GameStop) but I'd like to see a copy of it and the cloth map. Maybe Amazon will also be selling it (not listed yet) and at a cheaper price.

I love cloth maps but for a while now they have been less than great. (too small, cheaper material etc)

I would not pay 40 bucks for a hardcover guide but the cloth map...if I could see it...would be tempting for me.

Not trying to change the topic, but how many cloth maps do you own?

I have maybe 4 or 5 (I can't recall game names at the moment) and all are GREAT. And again, I can't remember the name of the game... I think it was one of the InfoCom games released a couple decades ago.... that had a cloth map that was incredible; it looked like it had been dug up by Indiana Jones himself!

Anyway, I'm a sucker for bundles and collectable gaming things. I miss the days of Working Designs and the GREAT packages they put together for games like Lunar.

In the case of Skyward Sword, I really don't need another Wii-mote but I ordered the bundle anyway. I might be tempted to get the guide if the price is lowered a little bit and the map is good and the guide is done well.

Oh I have a bunch...all the Ultima's + Might & Magic + Working Designs + Dragon Age 1 and maybe a few others I can't recall at the moment. I dont count the paper ones only the cloth maps. So maybe about a dozen or a bit less. For some reason a few of the Working Designs maps were nice but small. The Dragon Age one was very thin, almost easy to tear. I guess I prefer the old Ultima maps which were solid cotton and larger I guess.

Yeah I wish they had pictures of the map for the Zelda game. 40 bucks for a guide is quite a bit.

FutureShop is offering a FREE "Steelbook Case" if you order the regular edition game from them. From the picture, it looks similar to the steelbook case that came with Metroid Trilogy.

It's not the Skyward Sword logo, it's the same one that was on the shield since Ocarina of Time. And it's being used for the 25th annaversary stuff.
As for the mismatched controllers I'm looking forward to pairing that with my red nunchuck. :)
