There have been a few Wii games at my Goodwills. Usually nothing real special. Previous year's sports games, but sometimes some interesting stuff. Lots of GameCube stuff floating around.

I happen to like the Wii. I don't have a huge library of games, but I enjoy playing the ones I have, and I don't consider them crapware.

Here in Norway you'll be lucky if you can even find a Goodwill store at all, and garage sales just aren't a part of our culture.

And the goodwill stores that exists (usually driven by the Salvation Army), keeps very little technology-related items for sale anyways.

I've seen an actual Wii system and games at Value Village. Nobody seems to want to buy it.

Guess that would depend on how much they're asking. At this point, I don't think I'd drop more than $40-50 for the entire console. And that would be after I tested and verified it works myself. I don't have enough confidence in CD-based systems to buy them without prior testing.

Well, I've said it before and I'll say it again: The Wii is built like a friggin' tank.

Perhaps so, but even tanks get war-worn and eventually break down.

I have 3 PS2s, one of which was mine from new, and has easily received multi-1000s of hours of playtime. Still running strong. I have another which is almost new in terms of play hours; probably less than 50. My other one I don't know how many hours, but it was very dusty and was played hard by the previous owner, who I know, and trust.

Still, because of the mechanical nature of disc syftems, failure will be much more problem as they age. Hence I can't buy one without first testing it.

I went to the new Goodwill store by my house today for the first time and saw a couple of Wii and PS3 games. I didn't buy any but I did get a bunch of awesome VHS movies for .49 cents each.

The fact that there was so much crappy shovelware games, it is just weird i havent seen any yet, or at a garage sale yet. Maybe it will change when the WiiU comes out or a little after that?

Have any of you guys seen Wii (or PS3/360) games at Goodwill/Thrift/Garage sales?

Maybe these games go to Shopgoodwill.com?
Yeah, I am pretty sure Goodwill (what a joke) is selling them on there auction site.
