Whew...I'm having problems with this game. I used to breeze right through the first level. Now I've forgotten most of it.

Parker Bros. really put out some good games for ColecoVision.

I love this game :)
Level 4 is crazy, It similar to the other 3 levels but with extra killing walls and spiders in places that kills you as soon as you enter a new screen.

Never really played this game before. It's certainly good fun but I can see how memorising the best route really helps.

Highest I got after playing for half an hour was 19,650

This game is all about memorizing the rooms, once you memorize a good path, always take that path
Knowing where a torch is, is a good thing too, since each level you reach, a floor will get darker
At the last level you'll start the game all in the dark

Here's my second attempt :) 140150

I can see that this game takes a long time to master. Some of the harder rooms are just plain daunting.

Anyway, small inprovement in my score up to 26,300.

Great to see you here J-F , welcome :-D

I have corrected patbb's score - although as patbb says it doesn't really make much difference.

I got stuck in the dark somewhere. I'll have to try again.
Hmm, I tried to attach the snapshot but no luck. Anyway, 84,000 something. I have to admit that I cheated though so it doesn't count. This is a fun game but very hard.

Another great game! I noticed it runs a shade faster than the Atari 8-bit version. The controls are bit less precise as well. No bother, 'cause I'll be doing my best to keep Joe out of the fire and into the treasure ;)

I went for a maximum amount of points in the first 3 levels. (~150k)
At the beginning of level 4 I had so many life left that a little hats appeared in the score box.
When I started level 4 I had only 3 life left!!!

DCP_3504.JPG

A strange thing occur in level 3.
I entered a room from the left and a wall appear behind me, just like if I walked through a wall.

Also, FYI, in level 5, if you get killed by a spider or a skull they don't disappear.

I reached my peak in level 3 with 13 men. I found the torch, raided the whole pyramid, and made it to level 4. Then..I got only so far with the five men I had left. There are lots of nasty suprises in lv4 that will take a while to master ;).
