so I thought I'd get back into this game again and was wondering, the damn access code thing, how does that work?? It ALWAYS SAYS 1008 on my screen and never changes, am I supposed to be able to use it so I can return to my progress? or what? Does it even retain your high Scores?? I've completed the first 2 planets by picking up all of the pods so I don't really wanna have to do that again... anyone know if it actively saves in anyway? I googled Cybermorph Access Codes and all I got were cheat codes to enter, which I don't really want!

Cheers

Once you finish all of the planets on the first level you will get the code for the next level, so you can come back later and not have to start over.

As part of the cheat codes I am sure there is a list of Level Access Codes

aaah ok, yeah i eventually had a look and saw that there was a code for each level, but I didn't realise that the page with 8 planets your looking at is just sector 1, I thought those 8 planets were it, the whole game lol, I'm really pleasantly surprised to find theres actually a truckload of levels! I know there are a couple of conversations going on about it but i just wondered, I've checked mine and it looks like I have a 1 meg cart, should I bother getting another in the hope its a two meg? anyone got any good tips for this game? I figured out how to change the controls as well so I'm happy I can now use up to go up and down to go down, instead of always getting it the wrong way round lol

I don't think it was noted in the other threads, but here in the US, 2MB carts I've owned were dark black carts, kind of like Raiden. Most of the Jag's library used the lighter grey toned carts that better matched the system. Try tracking down the dark black cart and it should be a 2MB.

As far as whether you should get one or not, I think some of the differences are nice. The morphing title screen is pretty cool, even if that's the biggest difference. The cart should still cost you next to nothing, so it wouldn't hurt to have it.

cool thanks man I might try picking one up. So has anyone ever been able to complete the game from scratch? If you enter the code for unlocking the next level it doesn't store your score and the pods etc that you found does it? It only remembers that you've unlocked that sector right? That's harsh, I'd basically have to do it all in one go to see if I could get through without loosing my rolling score

The 2mb cart is a little less annoying in that skylar has a wider range of phrases, beyond that it's just the intro screen... It does nothing to change the actual gameplay so you don't NEED a 2mb cart

Many people have completed the game from scratch but it is very difficult and takes hours. I have been playing the game since 1994 and only beat it once! LOL :D I do consider myself a very good Cybermorph player too.

You are correct about entering the code for the next level, nothing is stored. You have to play through the whole game in one sitting to get a rolling score.

I attempted to do a playthrough / speedrun of Cybermorph and beat the first few levels of planets but didn't manage to beat the game, but for any new Cybermorph player I think it would be good to watch to get a lot of great pointers on how to finish certain levels etc. :) Here is part 1

Nice one! I will check this out as I will need to begin memorising where the pods are located if I want to complete it. Doubt I will bother trying to do it all in one go but at least I'll know I've beaten all the levels lol

Thanks to your introduction to this game I not only find this my second favorite Jag game (which I used to HATE this game) but I just beat this for the second time...

Yep it should save you a lot of time if you see how to get certain pods or complete certain levels. :)

That is really cool. :) Ya I think the biggest problem with Cybermorph is the steep learning curve, which makes a lot of people hate the game at first. It's only if you stick with it for a long time you begin to enjoy the game. :P I guess the same could be said for Bubsy, which is probably even more difficult than Cybermorph!

yeah I happen to think its quite a good quality game, I enjoy the flying and being older I understand the controls better so I now get how to change weapons, how to get health refills and how to change the contols to the way I like. Would love to get Battlemorph, I am VERY tempted to buy a refurbed unit from Best Electric but to get the game and a power supply as well your looking at £150+ which is crazy
