I wonder how much of a challenge to GameFly this will be?

I don't consider Redbox a viable alternative to GameFly since their pricing is high for one night at a time, so this new service may be interesting depending on price and duration.

I currently use Netflix form movies and Gamefly for games...the turn around time for movies with Netflix is much faster. If they have the same selection and availability I might switch to Netflex (errr...Quickster) for games.

I love Redbox. You basically get 2 days for $2 ($1/day) if you rent in the morning. It's great when you want to play system link and need multiple copies or when you can get your fill in a day.

I think the pricing for Gamefly is too high. If they could send discs as fast as Netflix, then i could consider it. But Gamefly as-is doesn't do it for me.

I had absolutely AWFUL luck with Gamefly, but that was many years ago and they may have improved things. I was with them for around a month, month and a half, never once got a game in my top six or seven. Had a couple of games never get to me, took forever to get them to send another, etc.
If Quickster has as many shipping depots as Netflix, and a similar Queue system, that could be completely awesome.

If I was an executive at Qwikster, I'd keep the pricing plans the same and offer customers the opportunity to choose between games, DVDs, and Blu-rays. Make it easy, valuable, and simple I say. Of course, I wouldn't be caught dead working at a place called Qwikster.
