Boulder dash just sold for $300 something on ebay and if this guy actually has boulder dash and the manual which his ad seems to imply then that cart alone is worth $300.
I already have every other item in that listing so not worth it to me.
I tried to email him and he seemed very confused so he may be a non-english as a first language. Considering Tank Wars and Boulder Dash alone could bring him around $400 or more I think your estimates are small. Remember all the colecovision and accessories alone in working order would be worth around $200
A $1000 is definately a huge profit for him at the extreme end of every price of each item but if he went below $600 I would be real suprised.
The only problem with going higher is that you just don't know the cosmetic condition of each and every game. All you have to go on is a picture of all the carts in plastic bags, thrown carelessly in a box. One man's understanding of "MINT" is another man's "VERY GOOD".
The seller really needs to spread all those games out and take multiple pics like he did for the Atari 2600 games and then potential purchasers could feel more confident in paying more. It boils down to spending an extra 15 minutes of your time in order to make more money OR being a little lazy and having to accept less.
Just my two cents.
Oh I understand, I am just stating probably worth. First there is no way I would make a final offer until he showed me a picture of everything I cared about. Second since the email did not go well I guess I would call and talk to him but would possibly only do this purchase in person if he was not going to do paypal or was still confusing.
I do not like Craigslist at all. There are way to many problems and dangers. For all that people complain about ebay it is 10 times safer than doing a craigslist deal.
I don't even sell on craigslist anymore because I would put things for sale and people would email me their life story about how they are down on their luck and it would be great if I could sell it to them for practically nothing. It is such a pain.
