Probably just a server move or change of host, sure it will be back soon.

Dang, AtariMags is still down. Anybody got any info?
And the screen it resolves to is not a normal "park" screen, it seems to me that the site is empty, wiped, etc.
They have a server crash?
<sigh> that's what I hate about single point repositories. One head crash and you are done.

Just tried it and still get the following.

Web Server's Default Page
This page is generated by Parralles Plesk panel, the leding host automation software. You see this page because there is no Web site at this address.

Still not working. I wonder if those cocks sent them a cease and desist letter?

No, this is actually I donate hosting to on another server. There are some issues with the PHP scripts running on that site that are causing the error logs to blossom in size. And by blossom, they quickly mushroom to many gigabytes in size. I took the site down so it wouldn't cause problems with other sites on the server.

I wrote the site's owner (Kevin Savetz) a few days ago about this but haven't received a response. I'm going to look into this myself tomorrow as I should be able to fix the problem and/or suppress the error messages. I'll put the site back up then.

I emailed the site owner this morning also

I see that WWW.Atarimagazines.com is down, I was wondering if there is a time frame for it to come back up? Or if it is gone for good?

Kevin replied
Yikes, I just found out it was down today. I'll get working on restoring it on a new server Monday.

Thanks for re-opening the treasure chest. For me it is an irreplacable source.

I've had workstations crash with bugs like that, created huge logs that filled up all free space. Ugly stuff. Good catch Albert!

Cool.
In the beginning I didn't like this site very much mainly because of the lack of scanned pages. But this site combined with google search, is pure gold.
Besides that I already have all those magazines scanned thanks to Thumpnugget. (What leads me to the next question: What magazines hosted at atarimagazines.com have not already been scanned and made available to the general public?)

Regards
