So we're on the last of the Fallout: New Vegas DLC pack. This time, I downloaded it on release day instead of hearing about it 1 month later.

I'm enjoying it so far. Many gamers seem to finish these DLC packs in about 3-4 hours. Me? 30+ hours on Old World Blues. I like to do all the side quests & minor quests in these packs. So many boxes to open & places to explore. One must savor the flavor.

How is everyone enjoying it? I got a game lockup on save right when I got the "Red Glare" launcher. I'm hoping this didn't corrupt my save since I didn't do that many granular saves.

I'm waiting on the DLC this time. I bought the Fallout 3 DLC separately and it cost a bundle, later they offered the same content for much less. I plan on getting all the Vegas DLC when it shows up on the Deal of the Week.

I'm waiting for the disc release. I got Fallout 3 and all the DLC as it launched and then someone gave me a copy of the Game of the Year edition or whatever that had everything in the box. They picked it up for $20 and thought I might like it. I'll wait thank you very much.

Old World Blues was AMAZING. I took my time on it just because it was so much fun. I might pick Lonesome Road up sometime next week but I spent my gaming money this week on NES games and dust covers, heh.

As I don't spend much on current gen games (my XBox has the two Fallout games and 2 others only) I don't mind spending money on the DLC... however, I can't wait for the inevitable 2 disc set to come out so I can have a disc so that I can ALWAYS play the entire game with all the DLC... even if XBox or Bethesda shuts down their servers.

I do love me some Fallout... makes you wonder if the NextBox will be when we see the next Fallout (4?) or if the 360 has one more kick at the can in her? I'm already planning on buying an extra 360 or two when they start clearing them out so that I always have a system to play Fallout on.

Add my name to the list of people who will politely wait for the inevitable GOTY edition. I did the same with Fallout 3, Borderlands, and eventually upgraded to the anniversary edition of Oblivion.

I'll wait until the GOTY edition of the game comes out and just buy that. That is....if they don't pull the stunt of just packing in a "code" for downloading all the content. (but Bethesda's other stuff was on disc so I got my hopes)

I purchased Fallout 3 when it was new and paid full price for it. Due to the size of my backlog it stayed in shrinkwrap the first year. When I finally opened it I never left the vault. I knocked a couple games of my backlog last year and I knocked quite a few off this year. The big think was that I finally finished most of the Oblivion content (main quest, factions, most misc. quests, many of the daedric quests, Mehrune's Razor, Shivering Isle, etc.) after 5 years and hundreds of hours of play (300 hours on my main character.) So I knew that I was ready to start Fallout 3 soon after that. I decided to knock a couple more of my average length games out so I started and finished Dead Space, The Darkness, Halo Reach, Silent Hill Shattered Memories, and Serious Sam HD: TFE. In the meantime I looked at how much the Fallout 3 DLC was going to cost me and realized that it would cost more to purchase than it would to purchase the GOTY game. I also found that my only once played perfect condition Fallout 3 wasn't worth much for trade-in or sell. So I ended up buying GOTY and giving my original copy to a friend. Finally, last week, I stepped outside of the vault and began experiencing the Wastes. I expect to spend a considerable amount of time with this game.

Because of the above experience I am no longer buying new games. All of the games on that list of completed games were released prior to this year. Some of them are 2 or 3 years old. I can get them a lot cheaper by buying them when I actually intend to play them. So I will wait until I'm ready to play New Vegas and I will get the disc packed with the DLC and it will probably cost me $20 - $30. The exception to this rule always has been and always will be The Elder Scrolls. I had the Oblivion Collector's on day 1 and the same will be true of Skyrim. Backlog... I never knew thee.

I finally finished the DLC last night. It was fun. Not as frustratingly hard as Dead Money, or Old World Blues, but gives you a run for the money. I'm tempted to finish off the game to see what has changed. Why did they set the game to end once the game ends? Same as F3, but they altered that with Broken Steel.

My big frustration with Fallout DLC is that it comes after you finish the game and you have to find a game save to use. I always have 50 of them and I never know what the best one to use is. What if you didn't have saves? No way I'd want to level up to 30 again to do them.

I am playing Dead Money, enjoying being back in the universe, but I am tempted to wait for the GOTY version or Live sales to get the other two. There are too many things coming out for me to bother with more full priced DLC.

Let me point out that I hope the GOTY for FNV is on disc. Borderlands with DLC codes only, which sucks if I want to play it all again in 15 years.

And like I said on Twitter recently, Fallout 4 better be 4 player co-op. Imagine playing Fallout like it was Borderland with drop in/drop out. Heaven.

I love Fallout, I have a lot of thoughts. Sorry for the OT.

But I heard Dead Island was a little like Fallout 3/NV, which makes me more interested in that game. No Pip-boy I'm sure.

No pip boy, but dead island does feel a lot like fallout, and has the leveling tree's and the weapons system of border lands. It's a real blast IMO, though I can't comment on the dropin/out multiplayered gameplay, due to my internet being in a state where I can't actually log into live at the moment. I'll be so glad when that is fixed damnit.

I need to hold off on buying new games too, I have so many stacked in the corner that aren't even removed from the shrink wrap, it's getting ridiculous. And to be honest, outside of a few great games, mostly certain FPS, no not call of duty, and RPG's like Elderscrolls or fallout, with a few random other things thrown in, it's rare for me to actually finish a game.
