I haven't played my Gamecube for months now probably because I don't have a very large selection of games for it. Are there any puzzle or platforming games that I can get and enjoy on this thing?

Most of these games do not really fit your criteria, but they are some of the funnest games for the system.
Resident Evil 4 - Best game I have ever played.
Tony Hawk 3 and 4 - Hours and hours of entertainment.
Luigis Mansion - Now this one does fit your puzzle criteria.
Midway Arcade Treasures 1 and 2 - Tons of old school arcade games that play very close or even exactly like the arcade versions.

Hope this list helps.

The GBA Player, play all the gameboy games on the big screen. As far as a good gamecube platformer check out Wario World.

Give us a list of what you've got so we can make proper recommendations. :P There are a lot of great games on GC. :)

I have the following:
Intellivision Lives!
Kirby Air Ride
Ratatouille (which I think is the last game made for the Gamecube)
Super Mario Sunshine
Mario Kart: Double Dash
Sonic Collection
Pinball Hall of Fame
Midway vol. 1
and all three DK Bongo games.
and yes, I have a Game Boy Player.

A few I'd recommend adding to that list: Pikman, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, Star Fox Adventures and Metroid Prime. You can't go wrong with any of those... even though they aren't exactly what you are looking for. Lol

Yeah, I really liked Windwaker, too.

But I might suggest Viewtiful Joe.

YES!!! I rented it once and was blown away, but at the time I was broke as shit and totally forgot about this one, now I'm going to have to keep an eye out for it.

I'd like to add F-Zero GX, which is arguably the best racing game of it's generation, and Rogue Leader, which is a launch title, a technical marvel, and could easily pass for a 360/PS3 game.

Don't forget Ikaruga, one of the finest schmups of all time, with a puzzle twist to boot. Sure, you could get it for XBLA, but physical media trumps all in my book. Besides, I think the GC port is just plain better.

And for some RPG love, try Tales of Symphonia and the Baten Kaitos Games.

One of the best Party games, Pacman VS. Hookup the GBA and stay alive from other human players that control the ghosts. Pacman is the only one who gets the full maze view thru the GBA.

I need to take some notes, my gamecube is currently in a box.

And quite honestly, I forgot all about the gameboy player... I had someone let me borrow harvest moon for the GBA, and I completely forgot that I could be playing it on my projector.

Apparently you are into the GB/GBC/GBA, so a Game Boy Player is a no-brainer.

Oh, Vexx was a multi-system release but worked well on GC and looked better there than the PS2 release. Same for Metal Arms.

If you're looking for a puzzle-platformer I highly recommend Luigi's Mansion. Very underrated game and even though I just recently played through it I may do it again with Halloween coming around the corner.

Sadly, no. There were plans to bring it out over here, but that fell through.
It's freaking awesome, though, and definitely worth the minor effort that goes into playing imported GC games.
Lots of appeal in that disc for all the classic gaming fans on these forums, since the Driller series is just a Dig Dug continuation. DD even makes a helmet-less appearance in the game. And the music's great. I need to stop before I blabber a pageful of Driller love.

If you want to play the Mr. Driller game, you can get your system modified or use a boot/bypass disc to play it on your US system (What was it called--the Free Loader, or something?).
