I've got a 1984 test market 7800 in box for $90!I know it's probably a good deal, but I was just wondering in general how common they are and what your educated guess on what the price range is.Thanks!

Range is I would say $80 to $100 in box that is in decent shape. I would say you paid fair market value. These are getting harder to get, so I think that I would at lease consider them uncommon these days.

Speaking of not a good deal, check out this link: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 350493377522

I mean, seriously?

Sorry, didn't want to start a new thread just for this, but I got a kick out of it and wanted to share.

Just cause you can list it for that prie on EBay (and Amazon) doesn't mean it's going to sell. :P

I sell on Amazon all the time and always come in just under the lowet item listed for that condition. If it's a rare book that someone is asking $200 for, fine, I'll list it at $199 and hope I get lucky.

Yep, just goes to show that games and/or systems are only worth what someone is willing to pay. Crazy people can list things at crazy prices but if they don't sell it, it's not worth that price.

What about the guy selling the heavy sixer package for $799 on ebay ?

Granted its a first year with all of the very first games , uuugh...

I'd love to have a boxed minty/clean one, but for that kind of money I could buy a lot of other systems and games and be just as happy playing..
