I found a machine of this that I'm interested in buying, but the seller said the sound doesn't work. He said everything else works fine, and I just wondered if anyone knows how hard the sound is to get going again.

I've never had a problem with the volume on mine. I wouldn't think it would be too hard to repair. How much repair experience do you have?

Also, make sure the volume isn't turned all the way down. May want to wait till after you buy it to check that.

If you got the dough, don't delay buy it today! Those Atari Footballs are, at least in my opinion, a huge score for a collection. Even if the sound doesn't work now and everything else does, you can get some enjoyment out of it and fix it later. Imagine the fun you and friends and family will have playing that game!

Unfortunately, I've decided to let it go, as I don't have the room for it. After checking the dimensions, I came to this decision, but I've scored an even better find, and by the end of the month, I should have it! I'll post it on the forum once I get it.
