Warner Bros. has confirmed to Eurogamer that the Batman: Arkham City VIP pass unlocks playable Catwoman content.
The Batman: Arkham City online pass unlocks Catwoman as a playable character, it has been revealed.
Streams of the game being played reveal that Catwoman is only playable for those who have bought a new copy of the game or buy a code.
"Catwoman is a unique character with her own story, moves, and weapons. Unlock Catwoman by redeeming the 1st purchaser included in the game case or by visiting Xbox Live Marketplace," says the game's title screen. "

ok, thats cool if you want catwoman.its just a costume or something extra right? nothing i'll really miss if i buy the game used. but then theres this-

A report today suggests that Catwoman is part of Arkham City's online pass system, meaning that if you buy a pre-owned copy of the game, her campaign missions will need to be unlocked with the purchase of a code.

so now you're missing out on game story content in single player games and not getting a full game if you decide to save a few bucks and buy a used copy or don't have your console online.
this relegates the game to full skip status for me. i cannot support practices like this. no matter how you feel about used games, this is beyond the pale of what we've seen before.
