Venture



Winky has climbed deep inside a dungeon laden with incredible treasures, but guarded by terrible monsters. Equipped with only bow and arrows, he seeks the treasures as the monsters close in. Guide him through the dungeon rooms . . . but don't stop to count your treasure until you're through!

OK, this doesn't count. After beating my brains to death trying to make it through all of the levels, I finally made it through and eventually dying only to discover that I was supposed to start out at level three! I started out on level one. Oh well, I don't really want to start out again. I'm blitzed out.

I finally got a Colecovision emulator to work on this new pc.

3 things,
the picture blinks, in fullscreen mode the emulator/games don't play correct.
it will show the skill select screen while the game plays. Can't really play a game this way.
and how do i save or open a screenshot.
I think i saved a screenshot but it saves as a File type.
I can't open it.

I couldn't get MESS, Mekaw, or Virutal Colecovision to work or play correctly.
MESS and Mekaw worked just fine on my old pc.
Now on MESS i get a message that the coleco.rom is missing and the system could not be run.
Mekaw will lock up as soon as i boot it up.
I got games to boot up on Virtual Colecovision, but the sound is bad, the speed is slow, and after a bit a game will lock up and the
emulator will crash.

They are several games included in the exe file but not Venture.
But you can create a shortcut with /file and the name of the rom file. (c:\koleco.exe /file venture.bin)
Just make sure you do not have any spaces in the rom file name.
Also put the rom file in the same folder than the exe to make it easier.

When the game is loaded, press F1 to see all the options available for the screen settings.

Let me know if you need help with this.

I played a few games that were built in.
I didn't try to load venture on this emulator.
I can't move things on this pc. I can only send things to documents.
I haven't been able to figure that out yet.
So i can't move the Venture rom inside the emulator folder.
When i pressed F10 to exit the emulator, windows closed the program and was checking for a solution to the problem.

I guest you can use the emulator directly in the documents folder and copy the rom in the same folder.

Is that your personal computer or work computer?
If it's the first you have to change your rights or use the administrator account.
If it's the second .. they block your computer so that you cannot play games while you are working

Please do NOT edit prior score submissions with new ones. When updating the scoreboard I normally just review new posts submitted after the last update and do not review older posts. Plus, editing old posts and changing the screenshot loses the full history of the score submissions.

It is maddening, because you can't change Winky's direction without coming to a full stop. This makes it difficult to respond to an emerging threat, so success seems to depend on knowing where and how to move and shoot before you even enter the room.
