Picked this up on a whim this weekend. Previously I had seen videos about this and soem of the games (all?) are available on Wii Ware. I was intrigued but I don't buy games unless I can have the physical media.

The coolest part is the references to many of the classics. Pong, Pitfall... Activision logo.... I LOVE IT!!! The games are simple, addicting and the music is mesmerizing. The emphasis is on hi-scores. The art is fantastic. I haven't put so much time on my Wii since the DK release.

It comes with 6 games and a complementary soundtrack (which isn't bad.. I listened to it during my workout at the gym.. very good for that kind activity).

Youtube video here...

If you are an 80's classic gamer like me, I think you'll enjoy it immensely.

I thank the developers for their creativity. I hope this does well and they give us some more.

Regards,

I played a game called Bit.Trip Beats and another called Bit.Trip Runner. Are those included here?

I agree, very cool games with loads of retro style.

Yes, it contains 6 games
Beat, Core, Void, Runner, Fate and Flux.

Nice review here:

Quote: "if you like Guitar Hero, Rhythm Heaven, and/or Parappa the Rapper, you need to try this series out. If you like any games from the Atari 2600 era, you need to play this series. If you like Vib Ribbon, Rez, Child of Eden, or Super Meat Boy, you need to play this series. If you like good videogames, you need to play this series."

I have to agree completely.

So is this going to be on disc? I might be tempted to pick it up if that's the case. I have Beat and one of the others on the Wii, but I haven't bothered to try any of the others.

Ooh, separate soundtrack disc! I'm all over this, thank you GrizzLee for calling attention to it!
I never quite bought the WiiWare game though I loved the demo; I like having a disc and was hoping something like this would show up.
