Inspired by some comments about Space Channel 5 in the Recent XBLA Releases thread.

For me, it's Just Dance. I played this game at a library once, and besides that fact that I'm supposed to mimic the onscreen dancers EXACT movemements (which is embarassing enough), there was some other guy standing at the end of the room watching me play. After he said "Put some feeling into it!", I put down the remote and quit. I was just one "Shake it, bro!" short of blushing.

I used to be ashamed of playing DDR in the public arcade, as it was never played. It felt like I was "that nerd."

That wore off though after a few games, and now I have no shame of doing anything.

Pretty much anything that Japan's put out in the last decade, apart from fighting games. And even most o' them, too.

Dragon Ball Z Budokai. My brother bought it when it first came out and neither of us felt comfortable playing it when out parents were home or friends were over as the voice acting is so over the top and the dialogue is embarrassing.

Mr. Do!'s Castle because the collision detection makes it look like I don't know how to play a game (freaking constantly adjusting the player's position).

Castlevania Lord of Shadows because of how much blood, gore and nudity is in it, I don't like playing it when my wife is in the room. Actually I sold that game for that reason.

Animal crossing on the ds. Two words: high school. Just for even thinking that somewhat colorful fun game gets you called "gay".

My company's been all mixed up since the day I started working there, and they don't let me play games at work anyway.

Disappointed to hear that people still use "gay" as an insult. At our school, a lot of us (mostly guys) play "Touhou: Scarlet Weather Rhapsody". It's a 2D fighting game with a cast that consists entirely of anime girls, and everyone is fine with it.

I have a hard time playing Outrun: Coast 2 Coast in public. The girl's one-liners are cringe-worthy, and the way she's presented in the game makes it look like I'm playing a Japanese dating sim. I still have yet to try the "Heart Attack" mode out, and have zero intention to do so.

Now, if we were talking about anime, then I would have a lot more to talk about.

I'm a fan of Japnese dating sims such as Season of the Sakura, True Love, Princess Maker, and others. I would NEVER play that with anyone else around, male or female.

Also, as much as I enjoy the game and it's my 'guilty pleasure' I wouldn't play DOA: Xtreme 2 in front of anyone, :ponder:
